Being a completely utilitarian knife, many aspects of this knife have a direct usage in outdoor craft and work. Take for example the cut out on the blade face. This is primarily for small handicraft work such as wood carving.
We tested it out only the old Gardarik and thought it lacking, an upgrade was needed. Now the cut out is flat bottomed which creates great hold on the thumb and forefinger when doing precision knife work.
The Premium version has been upgraded with the following features:
Bohler M390 blade
Bohler M390 Blade. Providing excellent corrosion resistance and an extremely high hardness the premium version will be every outdoors man dream.
Sleeker jimping
The jimping on the Premium version has been extended along the tang and into the handle itself, giving strong grip for heavy use.
Flat groove cutout
Doing away with the curved cutout and making a flat bottom cutout adds a stronger grip when doing finer work with thumb and forefinger pressed on the blade.
Titanium screws
To add the extra bit of flare to the original Gardarik, the premium has been fitted with high quality titanium screws.
