Cormorant Apex | 14C28N | Foldable extension handle

Introduced by RSK in 2014, the Cormorant is a unique fixed blade  designed by the renowned Carson Huang. Having been on the market for over a decade, this masterpiece still boasts an ingenious mechanical structure that remains unparalleled to this day.

Its most remarkable core feature is the foldable and extendable handle design. When folded, the extended handle fits perfectly with the outer contour of the main handle, forming a seamless whole; when unfolded, it precisely adapts to backward cutting motions, significantly enhancing force efficiency. Both the extended handle and the scales are fully detachable — a feature that undoubtedly excites DIY enthusiasts, leaving ample room for personalized modifications and adaptation to different scenarios.

The Cormorant features a so-called golden proportion in size, with total length 168mm/6.61" and blade length 80mm/3.15". The blade is made of high-quality 14C28N steel, which combines excellent rust resistance, long-lasting edge retention, and easy sharpening properties. The slightly wider blade, paired with a flat grind, makes it handle daily cutting tasks with ease, effortlessly meeting various cutting needs. The handle adopts a hollowed-out, weight-reducing design, allowing it to be used as a neck knife or a backup knife. From the lines of the blade to the detailing, Carson Huang's iconic curvilinear aesthetics run through the entire design. The standard Kydex sheath comes with a safety button, and its contour curves echo those of the blade, creating a harmonious visual unity.
